A pleasant surprise.., I selected this midnight blue sapphire out of a small *lot and submitted it to GIA for analysis.
Came back as a natural unheated Australian sapphire, 3.38 carat.
Old dark material (circa 1950-60’s) designed and cut to flat proportions with the original intention of lighting the depth of color. As a result, the proportions are just sublime and this gem appears much larger than its weight suggests.
