A rare and beautifully cut pair of slightly elongated Asscher Cut Diamonds weighing respectively 0.508 & 0.501 carat each. This pair was cut to a unique vintage faceting design and more importantly proportions mimicking the larger important Asscher Cut Diamonds popular during the Art-Deco Era.
Such Diamonds were popular for their distinct geometrical appearances. Visually one can immediately recognize the higher than usual crown in harmony with its small table, proportionally wider step facet design and corner breaks which are partly responsible for the old charm patina & character. Like with most of our cuts, this Asscher Cut Pair also possesses the Kozibe (polished cutlet) effect.
Measuring 4.60 x 4.20 mm. & 4.58 x 4.20 mm. It’s facet design and proportions intensify the endless “hall of mirrors” appearance in a slightly unique way thanks to its elegant 1:1.10 ratio. A different and unique look when comparing to visuals current modern Asscher Cuts/squarish emeralds offer.
Such a pair will visually compliment colored gemstone centerpieces as most were cut also possessing higher crown heights.
This pair was graded by us as nearly colorless with a wonderful limpid and transparent crystal.
