Always believed tiny Old European diamonds can offer different optical flavors to satisfy various tastes.
Had a great photographing session with this Ceylonese Sapphire ring and believe this picture displays exactly my thoughts on this subject.
As mentioned previously, I crafted this platinum ring to accommodate tiny antique Old European Cut diamonds which I selected.
Old European Cut diamonds offer a brilliant type play-of-lights and each single one looks and plays the lights a bit differently.
They have significantly higher crown heights allowing a pop-up sparkle.
Each one is cut slightly different thus creating an array of different tiny play-of-lights.
Old Europeans have larger facet surfaces allowing larger flash effects for such miniature cuts. This alternatively allows more noticeability for human eyesight. Its science!
This picture displays a closeup of the Old European diamond shoulders of the ring.
The diamond brick road…
Hoping this puts my thoughts into some kind of perspective.
